Reedah El-Saie graduated in Law from The London School of Economics (LLB) and University College London (LLM) before qualifying as a barrister. She spent several years as a management consultant before starting ‘ArRum’ in 2001. ArRum was the UK’s first club promoting Islamic art & culture, to a members list of more then 8,000 professionals, SMEs and students offering an art gallery, restaurant, business club, career mentorship and varied events diary. ArRum received extensive media coverage from the BBC, CNN, Channel 4 News, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, The Guardian, The Independent, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and Vogue.
During her time at ArRum, Reedah purchased Dale Egee’s art consultancy based in Chelsea to form ArRum Egee Art Consultancy to source, promote and commission traditional and contemporary Islamic art. Since closing ArRum in 2003, Reedah has married and had two sons and completed a Foundation in Art at Chelsea College of Art & Design as well as a Diploma in Islamic Art at The Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture - VITA (Visual Islamic Traditional Arts). IAD was recently established to combine Reedah’s passion for Islamic art and expertise in business with a growing demand for affordable traditional and contemporary Islamic art as well as keeping a balanced harmonious family life.
In addition to her commercial work, Reedah has worked on a voluntary basis with the public and third sector and advised various charities and government on a wide variety of community/inter-faith issues, business strategy, concept development, PR & Marketing, expansion, fundraising and mentoring. | |
